Train the Trainer Part 4: Sell Your Course

Don’t you love it when you walk into a Costco and get to taste all those little samples? Well, your course can make use of that marketing tactic too! Potential students will be happy and you can see increased sales when they want more where that came from.

You can give potential customers a taste of your course by:

  • Making a part of your course free (e.g., a lesson).

  • Offering a free, valuable webinar that also promotes your course.

Making a part of your course free

  1. Go to your course page and click on ‘View’ next to 'Course Material'.

Market your course on Embodia by making a part of it free

  2. Pick the category in your course that you want to make available for free. Click on the 3 dots in the top right corner and then click 'Edit'.

Market your course on Embodia by making a part of it free
  3. Check the ‘Accessible for free’ box and Update your new settings. That section of the course will be made free.

Market your course on Embodia by making a part of it free

If someone wants to access any other part of your course, they will be directed to pay the fee. Learn more about this feature in this guide

You can also make a lesson a free preview. You can learn how to do so in this guide.

Offering a free webinar

Another great way to give people a sneak peek is by offering a free, value-packed webinar. This is a fantastic way to introduce yourself to the Embodia community while also showcasing your paid course.

  • Each webinar is 60-90 minutes long and includes:

    • 30-60 minute presentation;.

    • Q&A from the audience;.

    • Call to action: next steps for attendees to continue their learning (usually this is an online course, or courses, by the presenting instructor).

  • Maximum capacity is 500 registrants, and we live stream on our YouTube channel (usually for 48 hours after the webinar) for greater visibility, as well as accommodation for those unable to attend. Since Embodia is a global platform, it’s very possible to have registrants in different time zones and countries.

After your live webinar, we usually turn the recording into a Free for Members course so that your content stays available on Embodia for even more exposure.

Note: We’ve found we get the best attendance rates during these windows:

  • Monday-Thursday evenings: 6-8 pm ET

  • Tuesday-Thursday: 11 am-2 pm ET
